Nix Companies & Integrated Power Services

Representatives from Nix Companies Inc., a Poseyville, IN based company, and Integrated Power Services (IPS), a Greenville, SC based company, would like to announce their recent partnership.

Integrated Power Services has entered into a five-year lease agreement to occupy the facility owned by Nix Leasing LLC, at 40 Frontage Rd., Poseyville, Indiana. This facility was originally built in the 1990’s by Altec Plastics and was most recently utilized as a Lucent Polymers’ plastic facility. After sitting vacant for over a year, it was purchased by Nix Companies in January 2016. After extensive renovations, the facility was listed on the market for lease. Nix Leasing is extremely pleased to have such a strong company utilizing their space. Nix would like to acknowledge Community State Bank of Poseyville for their support during the acquisition and renovation of this property. “IPS is a well-established and respected company that is growing and looking to add jobs led by a local manager who cares about the community. I couldn’t be more pleased to have them as a tenant and strategic partner,” states Nix Companies President, Matthew Nix.

IPS opened its doors in 2007, with a vision of becoming North America’s leading provider of repair services, field services and distribution for continuous process industries. IPS delivers AC & DC electric motor and generator reliability. Their single-source offering of in-shop repair, field services and distribution provides customers with an Unmatched Customer Experience — the documented safety and quality needs, plus the industry’s best customer service and shortest lead times. Today, they provide these services through a network of service centers, field service offices, warehouses and distribution centers across the U.S. and in Canada. They serve over 4,000 customers in power generation (wind, hydro, nuclear and fossil), oil and gas, paper, metals, steel and mining.

IPS has been doing business in the Tri-State since August 2016, utilizing local field service technicians. After witnessing strong opportunity in this market, and their closest service center location in Cincinnati, OH, the company chose to place a brick and mortar operation here in the Tri-State. After evaluating several opportunities, Lee Rogers (Evansville Service Center Business Manager) decided on the Poseyville facility as the most viable option for their new home. He cited several reasons for choosing the Poseyville location. Among those were the proximity to Interstate 64, the centralized location to service the Southern Indiana, Western Kentucky, and Southern Illinois markets, the room for future expansions of the operation at this site, as well as the abundance of high quality and high character skilled trades workers in this rural area.

Lee Rogers (IPS Evansville Business Manager) and Matthew Nix (Nix Companies, President) are both eager to work together with local high schools and trades programs to create awareness about the growing demand of highly skilled and extremely well paying jobs being created in Poseyville by their respective organizations. IPS currently has 6 employees who will work out of this new location, and they plan on adding at least three more by the end of the year. Over the next two years they hope to employ approximately 15 from various trades ranging from electrical engineers, to mechanics, sales reps, and office support. Additionally, Nix Companies currently employs 32 at its Poseyville operation and plans to add many more skilled positions as they continue to experience growth.

Mr. Nix states, “in addition to IPS being a solid tenant in our facility, we are very optimistic about our ability to work together with IPS in a strategic partnership. Our overlap in customer base, complimentary services, and improved logistics by our close operating proximity will allow strategic advantages to better serve clients throughout the region.”
