Jack Henry Hagan, Welder/Fabricator

Structural Fabrication Division

What is something  your co-workers may not know about you?

When I was 16 I was diagnosed with a heart condition that required me to have open heart surgery.

What are your favorite hobbies?

Anything that involves the outdoors.  I enjoy working on the farm, fishing, hunting, and camping.

Where did you go to school or training?

I graduated from high school in 2016 and went to welding school for 3 semesters.  I then went directly into the workforce.

Before working at Nix, what was the most unusual or interesting job you ever had?

I have grown up around the family farm and been involved with it my entire life.  From working cows to discing up the land, to all the tasks at hand during harvest time from putting the seed in the ground and reaping what you sow.  Farming has been a passion.

Are you married?

I am engaged.  Our wedding date is October 24, 2020.

Do you have any children?

No.

What is your favorite thing about working at Nix?

The go get’em attitude everyone has.  Everybody wants to win and we’ll do whatever it takes to achieve it.

What has been your favorite project you’ve designed or worked on so far at Nix?

I really liked the Bottleworks job because of the fact that all the material is going into an old pre-existing building that is being re-done.

Tell us a funny or embarrassing story while you were at work.

There’s way too many to count or even remember, but probably one of the many times Tim has “accidentally” scared me just by walking up behind me and tapping me on the back.  I’m a little jumpy!
