Our Customer was looking for a safe way for their employees to access the roof for maintenance. We were able to work together to come up with location on the building to place stairs and do away with the ladder access they were using. From engineering to fabrication to coatings and finally to assembly and installation, we were able to help our customers keep their team safe!
Often times we work with manufacturing and industrial clients to fabricate handrails for their work spaces. We always enjoy the opportunity to build handrails that are not only functional but add to the aesthetics of a new building project. These handrails were fabricated in our Poseyville shop, powder coated by our Coatings team and installed by a few team members at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Haubstadt, Indiana. Great work by all of our team!
When our customers have new machines or plant layout we work closely with their team to make sure they have safe ways to access machines for breakdowns and maintenance. This project is a great example of our customer putting their team’s safety first when installing new equipment in their plant. Cool fact for this project: It is PE stamped with a seismic design category E rating, which will prevent fail during a major earthquake. This facility falls on a major fault line here in the Midwest. Hats off to the engineering team, fabrication team and the coatings team on a job well done!
The team at Nix worked with a customer to reverse engineer stands that needed replacement at their facilities. The engineering team worked with the customer to engineer the stands so that our fabrication team could make them to the customer specifications. The stands then went to the Shop Coatings Division for final prep and paint. Great job to our teams on this project! We often provide reverse engineering to our customers. Let us help you with your next project!
Nix Metals had a customer concerned with their team’s safety in moving tools in elevated spaces. The team helped them design and engineer a lifting basket to move the tools safely and efficiently in their work space. It was then powder coated and finished by the team at Nix Coatings. This was another great partnership with our customer to help their team work safely!
We are proud to work with our customers who hold employee safety to high standards. We worked with our customer to design and build custom aluminum arch ways to promote safety throughout their facilities. The team at Nix Metals designed and built the aluminum arches and they were then painted by the team at Nix Coatings. We love working with customers on innovative and fun ideas to improve employee engagement!
The team at Nix Coatings did a great job putting the finishing paint on this tank. It was sandblasted by the team then put in our paint booth for an industrial coating. With our large sandblast and paint booth Nix Coatings is able to take on large projects in an efficient matter. Great job to our entire team on this project!
At Nix Coatings, our powder coating team can handle projects of only a few parts to thousands of small parts. We work with a holster manufacturer to powder coat these parts. In 2017, we powder coated over 200,000 parts for this customer. This process starts with a chemical pretreatment followed by a textured powder being applied. These pictures show our overhead rail system, built and designed by the team at Nix Metals, that allows our team to work more safely and efficiently doing these types of high volume projects. We appreciate the partnership with our customer and the attention to detail our team provides!
Nix Metals had a customer needing a support system to keep their employees safe in the event of a racking system fail in a highly used walkway. Our engineering team designed a guarding system that would work in their plant. The fabrication team built the guarding and then it went to Nix Coatings for powder coating. Our field services team worked at the customer job site to erect and install the guarding. Congrats to all involved in this successful project!
The team at Nix Metals worked together to produce these Tote Carts for one of our manufacturing customers. Our engineering department designed the carts with the customer, the fabrication shop processed the materials and fabricated the parts and assembled the carts. The team at Nix Coatings sandblasted and powder coated the carts before assembly. Great job to everyone on this team effort!
