The Nix Mobile Coatings crew did an excellent job on two 800,000+ gallon limestone slurry tanks. This project includes sandblasting, grouting, and applying a two coat liquid paint system.
Sandblast Booth Upgrades
During September, Nix Coatings upgraded its sandblast capabilities by installing a new reclaim system. Our blast booth was shut down for 1 ½ weeks to remove all the old media, put in a metal floor and reclaim troughs. The new system has two blast pots and allows the sandblaster to switch between the two hoses when one pot becomes empty. The reclaim system was installed to help improve blasting efficiency and reduce the overall amount of media to be purchased by reclaiming it. We would like to thank all the team members who worked late and over weekends to get the sandblast system working within the shutdown window.
The Mobile Coatings crew hand prepared and applied an epoxy floor coating at this waste water treatment. Their attention to detail and quality provided a durable flooring solution for our customer.
